Welcome to the New Zealand HSV Owners Club
Founded in 1994 by a small group of 16 very passionate HSV owners. They held their first meeting at Moyes of Panmure . Tony Saggers was the first president who led the club through four years of growth that became the backbone of the club for many years. Over the past 26 years the club membership which is based on cars not people has had its ups and downs but is now at a steady number and growing.
The primary aim of the club is to bring together people and their families who share the passion and pride of owning an HSV.
The Club has members from all over New Zealand and the club still has some of those original 16 as current members. We are a National organisation and have the support of HSV NZ and its HSV Dealer Network and have always been proud to be the only factory supported HSV Club in New Zealand through our close relationship with HSV.
The club has a committee responsible for running the club and overseeing events.
The club’s chosen charities are Heart Children New Zealand, Kids in Cars and more recently the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust.
The first club Patron was John Harvey and then Ken Blunt. In 2007 motor racing legend Greg Murphy became our patron and is still our Patron today.
Whilst it is the love of the cars that draws our members together, social activities, not necessarily car related, are also what the club is about. We are family orientated.
Club Activities
The club endeavours to have a social event at least every two months
These could range from a café cruise, museum cruise thru to overnight trips as well as visits to Dealerships, Performance and Tuning workshops, and the Annual HSV car show in Orewa.
